Games by Laszlo Kiss
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the games published by Laszlo Kiss ("we", "us") collect, why, and what you can do about it. It covers our games for iPhone, iPad and Android, on the web at game.actorle.cc, and on game portals such as CrazyGames and Poki. Every game links to it from its Settings.
In short
- There are no accounts. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number.
- Each game creates a random player ID on your device and sends us gameplay statistics and error reports with it, so we can fix and improve the game.
- Ads come from Google AdMob. In Europe you choose in a consent form, and on iPhone and iPad Google uses your advertising identifier only if you allow tracking.
- Purchases are paid through Apple or Google. We check them with the store and never see your payment details.
- Your player ID is shown in each game's Settings. Email it to us and we delete everything tied to it.
- We do not sell your personal information.
What the games collect
Your player ID
When you first open a game, it creates a random ID (your player ID) and saves it on your device with the time of that first launch. The ID is not derived from your device, your Apple or Google account or your advertising identifier, and on its own it does not tell us who you are. Each game has its own ID, shown at the bottom of the game's Settings (tap it to copy it). Deleting the game, or clearing a web game's site data, deletes it.
Gameplay events and error reports
While you play, the game sends events to our server. Each event carries your player ID, a random ID for the current session, the game and its version, the platform (iOS, Android or web), where you got the game (an app store, our website or a portal), the test group you are in, if any (we sometimes try two versions of a feature), and the time. The events are:
- opening the game and starting a session
- levels you start and finish, how they ended and how long they took
- coins and other in-game currency you earn and spend, and upgrades, boosters, themes and daily rewards
- tutorial steps you complete
- ads offered, watched or failed to load, and Google's estimate of what an ad earned
- purchases you start, cancel or complete, with the product and the store's transaction ID
- errors: the error message, where in the game's code it happened and the level you were on
Our server adds the time it received the events and the country your connection comes from, which our hosting provider works out from your IP address. We do not store your IP address. If the game cannot reach our server, it keeps the events on your device and sends them later.
When a game starts, it also asks our server for its current settings, sending your player ID so the server can put you in a test group. We do not store these requests.
Purchases
Purchases in our games are paid through Apple's App Store or Google Play, and we never see your payment details. Before the game gives you what you bought, it sends our server the store's details of the purchase with your player ID, and our server checks with Apple or Google that the purchase is real. We keep a record of each check: your player ID, the product, the transaction ID, its price and currency, whether it was a test purchase, the platform and the time. On iPhone and iPad, "Restore purchases" in Settings asks the App Store what you already own.
Saved on your device
Your progress (levels, coins, upgrades, themes, what you bought and your sound setting) is saved only on your device. There is no cloud save, so deleting the game deletes your progress.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location or your device's advertising identifier. Our games have no accounts, chat or social features, and our web games set no cookies.
Ads
Our games for iPhone, iPad and Android show ads from Google AdMob: videos you can choose to watch for a reward, and occasional full-screen ads between levels. Any purchase in a game (such as "No ads", where a game offers it) turns off its full-screen ads. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google receives your IP address, information about your device and the app, and how you interact with the ads. We do not give Google your player ID.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the game first asks for your consent with Google's consent form. You can change your choice at any time under Settings, Privacy choices.
- On iPhone and iPad, Google uses your device's advertising identifier, and shows ads based on your interests, only if you allow the game to track you when iOS asks. You can change this in the iOS Settings app under Privacy and Security, Tracking.
- On Android, Google uses your device's advertising ID, which you can reset or delete in your Android settings.
Google describes how it uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Our games on actorle.cc show no ads.
Game portals
On CrazyGames, Poki and similar portals, our games run inside the portal's website. The portal shows its own ads and collects information under its own privacy policy. Our game sends us the same gameplay events as anywhere else.
Our websites
Our web games, our server and our file storage run on Cloudflare. Like any website host, Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver them and keeps short-lived request logs that we use to fix problems.
Our other websites (Actorle, Moviedle and Actorle TV) can show a small card that promotes one of our games. It counts how often each card is shown and clicked, as daily totals without any ID, cookie or IP address, and remembers in your browser's local storage when it last showed you a card.
How we use the information
- to run the games and deliver what you buy
- to understand how the games are played, balance their difficulty, test changes and fix errors
- to show ads and measure what they earn, which keeps the games free
- to prevent fraud, such as fake purchases
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on these legal bases: our legitimate interests for gameplay statistics, error reports, testing changes and fraud prevention (running and improving free games, with data tied only to a random ID); the contract with you to deliver purchases; and your consent for ads where the law requires it, given in Google's consent form.
Who receives it
- Cloudflare, which hosts our websites, our server and our data
- Google, for AdMob ads and Google Play purchases
- Apple, for App Store purchases
- CrazyGames, Poki and other portals, when you play there
These companies may process information in other countries, including the United States, under the safeguards they offer, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep gameplay events, error reports and purchase records while we run and improve our games. Because they are tied only to a random player ID, we do not delete them on a fixed schedule, but we delete them whenever you ask (see below). Cloudflare's request logs are kept for a few days. What is saved on your device stays there until you delete the game or clear its site data.
Your choices and rights
- Change your ad consent under Settings, Privacy choices, and tracking in the iOS Settings app.
- To have your data deleted, open the game's Settings, tap your player ID to copy it and email it to contact@actorle.com. We delete the gameplay events, error reports and purchase records tied to it within 30 days and reply when it is done. If you play several of our games, send the ID from each one.
- Delete the game to remove your player ID and progress from your device. The data we keep is then no longer linked to anything on your device.
Depending on where you live, for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California, you can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, ask for a copy, or object to how we use it. Email us at contact@actorle.com with your player ID. We do not know your name or email address, so without the ID we cannot find your data. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Our games are made for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13. They never ask for a name, email address or age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
Everything the games send travels over encrypted connections, and only we can access the stored data.
Changes
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. The current version is always at this address.
